Base Jumper

Road Trips

The experience exceeded our expectations and we would thoroughly recommend Wilderness to anybody thinking of hiring a van in NZ. We covered 3000km in our 16 days and used a mix of commercial, DOC and freedom camping, with one exception they were all very good. One lasting memory will surely be freedom camping beside Katiki beach, with the waves in the background and the Milky Way above us. It doesn't get much better. Thanks folks for helping us to have a fantastic trip.

We've just been voted one of NZ's best campervan rental companies!

We’d like to take all the credit but truth be told YOU deserve the applause. Thanks to you, we've built up quite the reputation on New Zealand’s premier tourism review website – Rankers.

Here at Wilderness, we are all about giving you an unbeatable local experience that you can't find elsewhere. For us, camper holidays in NZ are about tuning your ears to the sound of a native bird, having a local brew and watching the sun sink beneath coastlines only us Kiwis know about...

Our motorhomes are free from ugly sign writing and there's no way we would slap a huge flashing neon ‘tourist’ sign above your head. As globetrotters ourselves, we know how great it is to be able slip in and out feeling just like a local.

When you travel with us, you're part of the family – we look after you, show you where to go and I promise we will not rip you off.

Quite simply, we do everything the other campervan companies aren't bothered with. RoadCraft Base Jumpers are the best campervans in New Zealand and far from the most expensive. You are our friends and part of that philosophy is; we will give you the best vehicle at a realistic price.

We're not lying when we say we know what it takes to create unforgettable motorhome holidays but, don't take our word for it – check out Rankers and see for yourself...
