After 24 days we were sorry to hand our camper back. We saw vans from lots of other companies during our trip and Wilderness are there with the best. Nice friendly welcome with everything ready to go, but no hassle. Van was easy to drive, powerful and economical (fuel is one-third UK price). They have a free library of CD/DVD/books and you take what you want. We thought NZ was great and had a wonderful holiday, Wilderness playing a large part in making it so.

Base Jumper L4

The Base Jumper L4 is 6.9 meters long overall which means there is plenty of room for the whole family to travel. Unlike your standard 4 berth motorhome, the Base Jumper L4 can be driven to all the hard to find places without giving you any strife up the hills. It is significantly less cumbersome than other 4 berths and the sleeping arrangement in the Base Jumper L4 allows for choice.
Depending on who you're travelling with, you can either construct two single beds and king or 4 single beds. Two of the single beds are bunk beds up front with the bottom bunk being 600 x 1750mm in dimension and the top 630mm x 1600mm, the top bunk is best suited for kids no taller than 1.5 metres weighing no more than 45kg. The bed in the back is a made from comfortable Alpha foam (either 2 singles at 800 x 1900mm or 1 king at 1770 x 1900mm). Alongside separate sleeping quarters, the Base Jumper L4 has an extra living space for the kids.
